Listening to ourselves is a great way to go about it! There's room for input and feedback but ultimately we weigh our options and listen to our gut. And joy that doesn't take away the sufferings of this world but helps us move forward! That is so true. Sometimes that joy is enough cause if I'm not in depression that's one step forward for a better day and with hopes that it snowballs to even greater days ahead :) Keep creating!

So true - the momentum of joy & hope does build! And without any need to force it. Those tiny moments of joy add up, and they bring more lightness that can grow!

Yes I can soon feel frustrated by what I feel I’m missing out on. I have found this past week, shifting my focus on the small things I can do has been helpful. It does give space for more acceptance. I need to look at my journey in terms of my capacity rather than anyone else’s.

Yes we do all need more space for joy right now! I easily find myself wanting to do way more than I actually have the capacity for. I like your theme of Just One Thing. It’s made me think a lot about what one thing I want to put most of my focus on this year. I haven’t quite chosen a word or theme yet. My word last year was flow. I did find it useful in letting go more in my creative practice. And with riding the bumps of life that came last year. Your writing is helpful as I reflect on my intentions for this year. Thank you.✨

Flow is a good one, sounds like it helped... and helping you flow into 2024 without the pressure of needing to choose a word or theme until you're ready! I'm wondering whether part of the puzzle of accepting doing less, and connected to your poem on expansiveness, is making sure I'm acknowledging and appreciating what I am able to do 🤔 I feel like I spend a lot of time feeling frustrated with what I'm missing, but actually there's still plenty within my capacity to enjoy!
